I don't think they are crap or anything, I do like few of there songs and also do respect them, I still think they are extremely overrated tho.

Their last great album was War, and their last great release was the live mini-LP Under A Blood Red Sky.

Every other U2 album that has come out, you listen to it and it is strictly not as good as War. Those who thought that The Unforgettable Fire was simply a hiccup were in for a rude awakening at the point of its followup, which came out and sold a zillion copies. Just because some of the later releases were "not as bad" as the Joshua Tree doesn't mean they are actually good. Yes, there have been some decent songs since then, even a few great ones.

Overall, I agree that U2 are one of the most overrated bands around. They have been resting on their laureals for 22 years. That's downright impressive.

lol, is there anything you do like? im sure ill be the same as you in fifteen years time though, intimidated by the next generation's new wave of music. open your eyes a bit and you'll be able to appreciate that there's a lot of great new music out there.

What? I know there is, it's just they are not it for me.

Also note I never said they were crap, I said they were overrated and most the bands like them that have come around are for various reasons, tho I will say I don't like any of the bands I mentioned, but if others do then whoopy for them, I like couple bands that fall into exactly what I just said and just bcause I like those doesn't mean I won't admit they fall into that opinion of mine, bands can be decent and overrated as well as overrated and crap in people's minds you know.

My eyes are very much open thanks, just because I don't just stomach whats thrown at me from every angle doesn't mean they aren't, maybe people who do should open there eyes.
