Ulver - Blood Inside

The latest album by Ulver is one of their most ear pleasing, and unlike their other electronic projects holds your attention a lot better. It is like a hybrid of the music of Stabbing Westward or NiN and Explosions in the Sky and a random neo-prog. band(if that makes any sense ).

Standouts: Christmas, It is Not Sound
Score: 7/10

Ulver rules. Any chance they're gonna do black metal/folk again?

I highly doubt it, but who knows. He/they have slowly progressed into a dark ambient type of music and now with 'blood inside' have progressed even further. I agree with Chiron. It's not a bad album at all.

I have just checked out this album in the last day or two, and it's become increasingly interesting each time I listen. I've not heard an album that intrigued me in ways I can't really quantify in quite some time. I've heard plenty of great music recently, but the "how" and "why" of it being great has been really obvious as of late. This Ulver album is just so intriguing that it reaffirms why I listen to music in the first place.
