Can I ask something?
When I read some of the posts in this forum I get the feeling that many of the posters are sent out by the record industri to promote different artist. I mean, when a poster in several post always includes the website to an artist an keep talking about how good so and so is, it rings a bell in my tiny little brain anyway. It seems so false and caresalemanish.
What is your opinion?

I think there are quite a few spammers out there who use this site.
Unfortunately there isn't much you can do about it.

Normally the members who come back do that. It's the one post members that post all over the place.

I like the way your sig. has links at the bottom. Pot calling the kettel? Only joking.
I doubt they're sent out by anyone though, they're usually just unsigned artists trying to plug their material.
What does "caresalemanish" mean?

You know, like a sleezy carsaleman. Oh , there was an e there that wasn't supposed to be there.
I don't mind people promoting themselves, I can understand that, but promoting others, then they are definitely getting paid to do it, but maybe I'm just overly sensitive about this, but forgive me, I'm Swedish.

Many are in these street teams you know, I don`t know what they get from it, but I assure you that promotion through forums isn`t very effective.

People that voluntarily go promoting bands they like, they join a street team with others that has the same interest. Posting banners, dealing out fliers, spamming boards....
