Not so mainstream
Hey
Me and a bunch of freinds whom have the same taste in music decided to start a band. (rock) We're all young (13 - 14) yes you think "oh, these are this some kids trying to be rockstars" sorry buddy, sure we'll try but we have some real possibilities.
Anyway, We're not another "not by choice" or "simple plan" who in my opinion, are mainstream slaves. I am the lead singer/rythem guitarist and songwriter. My music is said to be "years ahead of my age.
Do any of you think (like me) think the overly main stream world would keep some people "ahead of there age" of off the music biz.
Thank for reading and please reply.

the music biz IS the mainstream... it's nowhere near as pricey as most would think to have your own label... if i remember right from the business class i had to take in college 3 years ago it's something like $150 to incorporate in canada... once you own the company you are your biz regardless of the opinions of the mainstream or anyone else... if that's NOT the route you want to take then say hello to the mainstream because it's where you'll end up...

I think he means music that is older than the person.
I don't agree that this means you don't listen to music that is older than yourself as lots of people do.

That whole 'ahead of their age' is crap anyway...Avril Lavigne was always ahead of her age and it didn't hurt her. The 'real deal' is that if there is a lot of substance in the music then many people won't relate...it's gotta be trite and superficial...it's gotta be catchy...it matters not how GOOD it is.
Sincerely,
A Bunch Of Great Bands Who Never Made It

First finish your middle school English classes, and then you can worry about being a rock star.
Basically, your post asks nothing, and tells us that you think that your music is "years ahead of your age". Thanks for the info Junior, remind me to ignore you next time.
