Anyway, We're not another "not by choice" or "simple plan" who in my opinion, are mainstream slaves. I am the lead singer/rythem guitarist and songwriter. My music is said to be "years ahead of my age.

Do any of you think (like me) think the overly main stream world would keep some people "ahead of there age" of off the music biz.

Thank for reading and please reply.

I know you've been picked on this entire thread already...but dude...stop and think about what you are saying. For one, i don't care about your "talent" and I'm not going to insult you for having confidence in your playing...but how do you not see that by worrying about how you are percieved and if you have a shot to "make it" in the industry you are headed down the same road as your claimed "mainstream slaves." If you really are ahead of your age then you should already know that the majority of music that rotates around the mainstream is garbage and should be laughable to you. You should be taking your talent to new levels and creating music to challenge yourself and not for notoriety. This is the problem with the corporate music world, to some...their integrity means shit if it means they get paid and laid...take a step back and ask yourself WHY you are making music in the first place.

"Making it" is akin to "seeing a duck-billed platypus with your own two eyes". Although it exists and you might have read about it or seen it on TV, the chances of it happening to you personally are practically nil.

Plus, if you're young and in any way, shape, or form you focus on OMG MAEKING IT, you're doing it for the wrong reasons. Have fun, be young, and don't believe everything you read in Spin. Sometimes chasing your dreams doesn't work out, and that's ok.

I don't mean to always sound so negative about the biz, but so many people need a good shot of reality.
