Do most people consider the Doors and the Velvet Underground to be Psychedelic?

The Doors have several psychedelic songs, but they also (of course) were more diverse in general... I don't feel the Velvet Underground were psychedelic, although they have psychedelic elements in many songs (moody nature of their music)...

Doors had that definitive electronic swirl that true psych bands posessed!
