why TLC is great?
hello everyone, I just bought TLC's classic album Crazysexycool because AMG rated this album 5 stars!
I am a foreigner so I can not fully understand american culture.
Could anyone explain to me why this album is great?
what I am thinking is they do not have a beautiful voice like whitney or Mariah. and I only like the hit singles in this album like waterfalls and diggin on you~

I suspect that's true in other countries as well...I have seen the Top of the Pops list from time to time, and it's not a hell of a lot prettier.

you should also read the fine print on AMG. the rating system is based on the particular artist as opposed to their genre. a 5 star rating usually means it's the best the artist has to offer.
the album was also considered great because it pumped out a bunch of hit singles and basically paved the way for new soul / r&b acts like destiny's child.
