You're Thoughts On Chiastic Slide

I just ordered Chiastic Slide, it'll be in my CD player a week from Thursday, and Im wondering what to expect. I listened to a couple samples, and it sounds really cool. So what are you're thoughts on this album and which tracks do you like most?

Well Chiastic Slide is sort of the album that marks the turning point between 'Tri-Repetae' and the self-titled album. Kind of reminds me of that self titled album but with a more 'organic' sound to it, but not quite as Hi-Fi. An excellent album at any rate, good purchase.

Also check out the Cichli Suite single. It's basically 5 dramatic reworkings of the single from Chiastic Slide, which essentially makes about an E.P.'s worth of new material, and good stuff at that.

Self-titled album?

Anyways, Chiastic Slide is incredible. I really love how they've combined their abstract beats (that they'd focus more on later on) with a more melodic side so well. Cichli is a stand-out track. Just amazing.

I agree with Thoughtcrime on Cichlisuite as well. Definitely worth checking out.

Self titled album A.K.A. Autechre's 'Autechre' Release. A.K.A. the 'all white album' with no art on the cover A.K.A. the album immediately following Chiastic Slide.

the first units were sold in solid black plastic cases. the more recent editions come in regular transparent cases with a white art cover.

LP5 is really good. A second favorite of mine next to Amber. I like everything up to EP7; Confield loses me, Draft 7.30 moreso, and I haven't even bothered with Untilted.
