well...I've heard so many people say that the Epiphones were better than Gibsons too and when I went guitar shopping last November I tried about 6 Gibsons and about 8-10 Epiphones. Let me tell you that there was not one Epiphone that even came close to the Gibsons. Not one. I mean by a fairly wide margin too. It isn't all just in the setup either. I am not a great guitar player or anything but I've been around guitars for a long time and I have a good idea when it is just the setup. So I bought the Gibson. If the Epi's were as good as people say that they are I would have bought two of them and left the Gibson on the rack...seriously...that's how I think.
So anyway, that little rant wasn't meant to discourage you but just meant to remind you to temper what others say regarding brands and whatnot. You can get the best idea from playing as many as you can...and what I've learned as of late is don't count eBay out. That place has some good bargains. As long as:
#1 you only consider guitars from reputable sellers(check feedback)
#2 you don't get caught up in a bidding war
#3 know your limit and stick to it INCLUDING SHIPPING
In fact, I was going to put a link here to an Agile on eBay but there are TONNES of them...no kidding!!
