Well...I'm feeling ok but when I think that I spent $5000.00 in the past 5 or 6 weeks I do feel a little dizzy...then I think back to November and realize that I spent about $3000.00

...everything goes black and I start talking to my mommy...

Two more Imperial Concert Grand, bringing it to number 7 of such. Having one in the Continents that Ms. 23 Chromosomes goes Ebony and Ivory, and at home, as well as Stanford, is just more practical and easier than having to move them around as much, when needed.

I have a shitty ion guitar, a peavey drumset (cheapo) with all new heads, i added 3 cymbals, 16' zyldjian crash, 16' paiste china, and a 20 (or 22)' zyldjian ride, also have the double kick pedals and a new set of paiste hi hats, its not bad, it allows me to get better and play with my band pretty good. also have a celebrity acoustic that has 2 broken strings (in the process of fixing once i find the extra strings i got with it)

edit: forgot we also have a shitster of a yamaha keyboard that is out of batterys and i have an old glockenspiel set i got when i started playing

being that i'm not a professional and don't really plan on ever becoming one i still have issues paying more than $1000 for any instrument so i'm planning on getting this guitar depending on how filing my income taxes go hehehe

Me too...but I pay whatever the best price I can negotiate for what I want...if it's $1500.00 then that's it...

I just ordered a mic preamp that is over $1000.00 for ONE channel!

By the way...those Agiles are supposed to be pretty decent...or so I have heard some people rave you know? I remember reading some poor reviews BUT that was about 2-3 years ago and I haven't seen negative reviews of them in ages. I can't speak from personal experience though, I have never seen one.

same here. but i've actually had a PM convo with someone who owns one on a local forum i visit. said it took less than a week to get shipped over the border and zero issues. he said it was a fantastic guitar for the price. it's basically the equivalent of a les paul studio for less than half the price, the only main difference is the neck on the agile is maple where the gibson is solid mahogany (just like the bodies on both). the one i want also has a custom ash top, i figure that's mainly for the finish though.

then again this is all dependent on how my income tax filing goes hehehe.

well...I've heard so many people say that the Epiphones were better than Gibsons too and when I went guitar shopping last November I tried about 6 Gibsons and about 8-10 Epiphones. Let me tell you that there was not one Epiphone that even came close to the Gibsons. Not one. I mean by a fairly wide margin too. It isn't all just in the setup either. I am not a great guitar player or anything but I've been around guitars for a long time and I have a good idea when it is just the setup. So I bought the Gibson. If the Epi's were as good as people say that they are I would have bought two of them and left the Gibson on the rack...seriously...that's how I think.
So anyway, that little rant wasn't meant to discourage you but just meant to remind you to temper what others say regarding brands and whatnot. You can get the best idea from playing as many as you can...and what I've learned as of late is don't count eBay out. That place has some good bargains. As long as:
#1 you only consider guitars from reputable sellers(check feedback)
#2 you don't get caught up in a bidding war
#3 know your limit and stick to it INCLUDING SHIPPING

In fact, I was going to put a link here to an Agile on eBay but there are TONNES of them...no kidding!!
Try this:

that's good advice SD. i've got an epiphone here already and i'd never call them close to a gibson. but i think it really depends on whether or not you're getting solid or hollowbody guitars. i've heard GREAT things about the epi hollows.

as for those agiles on ebay it's all the stock from the rondomusic site listed aside from the top two. same price on both sites and no bidding. either way the main reason i want the one i chose is the finish (i know it's superficial but whatever i'm not a pro )

mind you if i happen to spot a $300 real deal les paul i might just forget about the finish hehehehe
