Those things are amazing. If I am not mistaken they are made in China. I was stunned when I tried a few of those Chinese made Ibanez guitars...I seriously thought that China would be a while catching up to Korea and Japan but it looks like they are moving very quickly.

Nice buy!!

I noticed the lousy pic of my "little blond" some posts ago, and I felt bad for her. She deserves more. So here you go sweety, make me proud:

Goozeman, your "little blond" comes across much better but now you look about a foot shorter than before.

Why have a Les Paul and a Strat and then a bunch of Les Paul and Strat copies?

Great collection - how many banks did you need to rob to get hold of all that gear?!

Well...my living room looks like this...

...so I normally go to the rack and play the first guitar for a while then I put it back and play the second one-and so on. Some days I go put on a cd or the radio and play drums. So "that's what I do".

Ok...to get technical...it is 1 Les Paul, 3 strats, a Tele, two basses, 5 acoustics, 1 doublecut, and a bunch of Les Paul style, a bunch of Strat style, and a Tele style guitar(s). The "why"...well that would be a bit harder to explain.
-some of the guitars have different pickup configurations (ie: s/s/s, H, H/H, etc.)

-some have different pickups altogether (ie: Seymour Duncan JB, Dimarzio, Custom pickup maker, etc.)

-some have different materials (ie: alder body, ash body, mahogany body, maple fingerboard, rosewood fingerboard, etc.)

-some are of a different construction style (ie: neck-through-body, set neck, bolt on neck, etc.)

-some are equipped differently (ie: Floyd Rose bridge, Kahler bridge, classic trem, stop tail, string through body, etc.)

I just bought things at great prices when I had the money on hand. I never use credit (aside from 0% financing that I used one time when I had the money on hand). Some things I paid maybe a bit much for due to the rarity of the item and some things I got great deals on, then others I bought new so it is often difficult to get 'good' deals on new stuff unless there is a pricing error. Most often I look for great prices on stuff that is LIKE NEW and save a bundle. I probably spent about $17,000.00 on guitars over the years but if I would have bought all of them new instead of just 6 of them I would be in for about $30,000.00.

The way I see it smokers spend that much in a few years smoking cigarettes and never get anything but poor health from it. I get guitars that I can have as long as I want to have them. Or drug users or alcoholics...it just so happens that my addiction doesn't hurt society, people close to me or myself.

That's true. I should talk as I'm probably going to get my second Strat soon because it has the SCN pickups.
