Need help on a genre!

Hey everybody, I'm new to the forums

Basically I'm looking for a certain genre or at least a couple of songs.

The thing which is so distinctive about the genre I'm looking for is the flute; I'm gonna give you some examples and hopefully you'll share my enthusiasm for their kind :

song number one
Artist: St Germain
Album: Tourist
Song: So Flute

Title says it already, doesn't it. Sample can be found here

song number two
Artist: The Herbaliser
Album: Very Mercenary
Song: Sensual Woman

This song is also found on the Snatch official soundtrack, a sample can be found here

I realise that there might not be such a genre, but does anyone at least know some other bands/songs that sound like the two above? Especially the song 'sensual women' is the kind I'm looking for (not with a voice througout the song though)

thanks in advance,

Check out the ninja tunes Zen compilations if you're into the herbaliser, and St. Germain tend to be on alot of electronica/jazz compilations.

Have you tried albums by the actual artists themselves? I think both have released a good number of albums.

I haven't heard any St. Germain but I have heard them reffered to as "Acid Jazz" and that they are some sort of mix between smooth jazz and electronica. I guess "Jazzanova" is a good group to check out in that regard.

Herbaliser is more or less hip-hop. The label they are on ( Ninja Tune ) release a lot of similar music.

I've got two albums of St. Germain; they're nice but not a lot like that 'sensual woman' song except for that one song.

Herbaliser is indeed hip-hop so I'm not into that, also I've tried Ninja Tunes compilations but it didn't turn out to be that good (IMO) and I've tried a couple of "acid jazz" albums but they seem kinda lame to me as well...
