Hey Smorgdick, not everyone likes a damn gibson, and humbuckers in bridge arent always the best way to go. There are some things that a gibson just can't do. i mean, seriosly, gibson are good, but there so damn expensive, and les pauls are heavy. ibanezezezezez are some of the best guitars you can get nowadays. i'd rather play a $300 ibanez than a $1300 les paul anyday.

to paraphrase one of chrisarclark's more infamous comments...

there will always be people who prefer shite to gold.

seriously, 'know-it-all 16 year old'...is this because you can't afford one or because you aren't wise enough to see the different aspects of a product that make it desireable?
Next time I go guitar shopping I'll be sure to poll all of the 16 year olds to see which one I should get. Like I said before...step away from the gasoline container...

Am I loser if my Fender cost 300 dollars. What's the diferrence between the Standard and the 600 - 800 version.

In little words please because I know nothing of pickups and humbuckers.

if your fender is only $300 then it's either stolen, in horrible condition, a squire, or you got incredibly lucky at a garage sale. a higher price tag will generally mean higher quality materials, better tone, smoother playability, etc.

just because a guitar is cheap doesn't make it bad, i've got a $100 pawn shop special that i won't get rid of because it has such a unique tone but i realize that its appeal is unique to me and what i play. same goes for any other instrument, but comparing a $300 ibanez to $1500 gibson is like comparing a honda civic to a corvette, sure there will be people who prefer the civic, but personal preferences aside, only a retard would try to claim that a civic is the superior vehicle no matter how souped up it is or how many times you've watched 'the fast and the furious'.

Nobody is a loser based on how much their guitar cost. Eddie Van Halen's guitar was a bunch of junk thrown together until he started getting rich and being able to afford whatever he wanted along with companies virtually throwing equipment at him.
The 'losers' are the ones who make broad general statements such as the ones that trippaway seems fond of making.

As far as guitars go...panbient pretty much spelled it out...

Very well put by both of you. I think I'll rob a guitar center and see what I'm missing.
