Cool Robert Plant

Has anyone heard Robert Plants new album Mighty Rearranger. I think it my be his best since his zeppelin days. I really like the song Shine it All Around.

I have never been a big fan of his solo work, what does the album sound like (style wise)...

I know what you mean.. I haven't been much of a fan eather. I always thought his albums were deperessing. This C D has some life to it. More along the lines of the old Led Zeppelin.

Robert Plant walks among the undead. I can't imagine anything recent of his being the least bit interesting.

I did like Pictures At Eleven, though. I heard he was in some other band, and they were decent too

Heard Shine It All Around. Rather liked it. Not usually into his solo work either but I did like the sound and I agree it does sound more like the old Zeppelin, not the depressing post-Zeppelin Plant.

Haven't heard the whole album yet but I am anxious to do so.

Sixty six to Timbuktu was a good album. I'm interested in the new one.

Apparently he was also in a band called "Priory of Brion", but I've never been able to find any songs by them.

The last thing I heard Plant singing on was Walking into Clarksdale. 'Most High' was tolerable, but his voice is shot.

When exactly did his voice go to hell. Seems like on Kashmir, he is a bit raspy, but on IV it was fine. Did something happen to him or did he just shred them by singing too much?

He just got old. Now, this doesn't always apply. Take Van Morrison, he's getting up there and his voice is still in tact. But, Plant just seems to have lost it.
