There's a 60's garage forum I read and they have a "forum compilation CD" they send out to members who are interested.

It might be cool to do the same here. We could decide on let's say 10 songs,burn them to a CD-r and send them out to all who are members here. We could have multiple volumes like mayvbe two in a year, have a cool title for it and maybe even someone who could create a cool cover for it.

Could be real cool (and a lot of work too I know )

We could do a mixtape/CD project. Someone to oversee it, then that person pairs us off with someone else who then makes a mixtape/CD for the other and sends it to them (or to the overseer to pass on, perhaps a Moderator, if they feel unwilling to tell others their address)!

I like it.

Too bad that there is little or no reaction to this.

Would be rather easy though :

Get a selection for prog and psych

Get persons to distribute them per region (US,Europe,...)

Get the discs to these persons.

Here's the deal:

I'll do the first disc (no artwork, sorry that's not my area). The first 15 people who give a song who are in North America, I'll make and mail out to them at no cost for the disc. I think you'll need to send me a self adressed cd envelope, or the cost may be too much (remember I'll do the cd and eat the cost of the discs). Let's make the theme Unkown pyschedelic gems.

- Are we gonna do UK or US psych? We can always do a second volume

- Anyone up for finding a real cool title besides the lame one I got ?

I'm gonna start a poll on the second question, UK or US so everyone who's interested can vote. I'm also gonna start a thread where people can suggest tracks they would like to see on the CD.

I'm really curious to see if we can pull this off. If we can and got a group of dedicated co workers together I'm willing to do the art work and the european distribution.
