Please, most of the new stuff (not including X&Y cuz I haven't heard it) doesn't hold a candle to (is that even a saying?) the Parachutes era and before. I don't like the more polished and pop-like sound they've been producing. Mostly I just prefer the tracks featuring Chris on acoustic guitar. "Trouble" even sounds way better performed acoustically. I still like piano based tracks like Keane does, but they never have songs featuring a guitar so I couldn't really compare there.

was Parachutes not polished and pop-like then?

and so you're saying that a piano is more pop than an acoustic guitar? I don't think that's always true...

A Rush Of Blood To The Head is a better album than Parachutes.

first of all, speed of sound is clocks repackaged. that does not make it a bad song. and it WILL grow on you with repeated listens. i was really pissed off when i heard it. i was like fuck this, i'll just play clocks over and over again but i found myself playing it over and over again. i dont know whether i like the song cos i like the song or i like it because i like clocks.

Now that's smurfin' sacrilege! "Daylight" is decent at best and "A Whisper" is complete crap.

Watch it, don't offend the always right Mr. Clark!

I actually agree with you, Parachutes is a much superior album. As much as I like A Rush Of Blood To The Head, I feel Parachutes is more interesting and less boring.
