It's been a long time since the Downward Spiral. And it's been just as long since a great NIN album. Like the Fragile, there are a handful of interesting songs. But this is better to buy used, if at all.

I listened to this album at Border's because I wanted to know what it sounded like, and Borders lets you listen to full songs (something the other sound stores don't!) and I turned the album off after the first track. I found it awful, I'd rather squirt lime juice in my eyes while sticking actual nine inch nails into the bottoms of my feet than listen to the new album.
No offense to anyone who likes it, mind you.

this can hardly be an accurate assessment of the album.

Exactly why I didn't post it in the CD Reviews section.
Also, a good reason why album critique is not my career.
