monolake
I recently recieved Monolake's new record, Invisible Force. Now, this is the first thing I've heard by them, but I must say that I find this record to be simply brilliant. Wonderfully produced dark shuffling technoid beats over perfectly arranged acoustics and hypnotic samples. It's like what Autechre would be doing if they continued with the Amber style instead of going dainty nerd glitch. In any case, I now have a strong desire to explore their back catalogue.

That a new vinyl or something? Haven't heard it. I've got 'gravity', which is a nice sounding disc but I find it gets a bit 'samey' after a while. What I've heard of 'momentum' I really liked though.

Monolake has this really dark quality to their music. i just think the creation of space is pretty amazing with their material.

I just ordered Axis after hearing the Juno samples. Looking to be great stuff. If Invisible Force and Axis Carbon are any sort of accurate prediction, their next album is going to be killer.

I'm now listening to 'axis/carbon'
I must say that this has turned me onto Monolake more than ever. This is by far, the best thing I've heard from them.

Axis/Carbon is in the same style as Invisible Force, and both are tracks that will be included on the upcoming album, which I am now keenly looking forward to.
