Genesis was far better with Phil Collins as the lead singer. The 3 albums I named were their best. Phil Collins was a far better lead singer than Peter Gabriel could ever be. The songs sound better with Phil Collins, they were better written, they sound better with Phil Collins singing them. I have listened to most of the Gabriel-era albums, & they don't sound good. The majority of the songs were poorly written & poorly played. Phil Collins made the band 100 times better. He's a better songwriter & better singer than Peter Gabriel.

With which should I start?

Well now you have recommendations from people who have a clue, and from someone who thinks Phil "The Hack" Collins is the greatest thing since Single Malt.

I have a feeling it's the best he has to offer, which isn't much. At least, it's a post which Bonnie doesn't have to delete.

Did Egan die on the Nepal side or are you just using the Nepali name instead of the Tibetan or English, since you were just in Nepal?

I think Phil Collins was all right in general but I stopped liking Genesis after And Then There Were Three. My favorite Genesis albums were Selling England By The Pound and The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway.

Pretty much I think Peter Gabriel's Genesis was the best and it is a shame that most people think of the Phil Collins Genesis instead and quite a few don't even know the Peter Gabriel version of Genesis even existed and if they do they don't know anything of that era.
