Chord Progressions
I've just read that the chord progressions on Canon in D are the same chord progressions than Greenday's Basket case (7 out of 8)
Pachelbell's Canon in D Major
Dmaj - Amaj - Bmin - F#min - Gmaj - Dmaj - Gmaj - Amaj
Green Day's Basketcase
Emaj - Bmaj - C#min - G#min - Amaj - Emaj - Bmaj - Bmaj
Canon in D Major
I - V - vi - iii - IV - I - IV - V
Basketcase
I - V - vi - iii - IV - I - V - V
Do you know any other example as this?
What are some popular chord progressions you know??

Green Day are also sharing the chord progression from "When I Come Around" with the chorus of Rainbow's "Since You've Been Gone", almost note-perfect considering that Green Day were tuned down a half step at the time of that recording.
