Post Save Rock and Roll .org

Nothing hits home more than this for me. This is my first post and I just wanted to share that Rock and Roll is living and well.

http://saverockandroll.org/

Forgotten songs and artist of the past still have a chance! Here is a quote from the site that I really like:

That's right, Rock and Roll is in trouble. For that matter, music in general is too. Schools are dropping their music education programs each year. Pretty soon your kids are going to think Uncle Kracker did the original Drift Away.

I hope that you enjoy my first post and are eager to revisit some great Rock and Roll.

Rock'n'roll was never taught at any of my schools, but it is indeed a shame that art and music programs are being dropped. The real issue is not that kids can't place a cover song originally done by some hippie, but that they've not heard Swan Lake, Rite of Spring, The Four Seasons, anything by Mozart, Beethoven, even Count Basie, Thelonius Monk or Miles Davis. Rock music can't possibly go away as long as the baby boomers are still alive to tell all of us how much "better" music used to be.

It works for me...

anyways, the site links to kcdx A rock and roll station in Phoenix that plays a lot of forgotten rock and roll. It is pretty cool, you can stream it online.

Heh, another minus for Mozilla's Firefox. Internet Explorer gave me no grief at all getting to the site...

Perhaps I am just going to have to go back to them *sigh*

It looks like a decent enough mix of classic rock, if you're into that sort of thing it would be nice to have.

It must be something on your end, Seerix. I use 3 different browsers from Mozilla and every one got to the site with no problems.

Yeah that's two now. Apparently I just suck

I've actually had no issues since Seba's post, so it must have been on my end. I've got everyone from all walks of life telling me my connection is slow, and my provider did have problems. But in the last couple of days the internet seems to be smooth and fast.
