I think I'll let it remain a mystery for now. No need to bother Pops.

Too late, he said there was a documentary called "57 Screaming Kids", which was a bio on Hawkins. If we take the title to be literal, it would mean Hawkins had 57 children.

yeah, he was a blues singer, as well as jump blues, r&b, and i guess a bit of rock and roll, and in my opinion he had an amazing voice, which is why I mentioned him..
also its true that he only had one major hit, but he still had a very prolific career, from the 50's to 1994 I believe, and in that time span he made tons of excellent material, went far beyond "i put a spell on you", so yes you could call him a one hit wonder, but its not like he was a one trick pony, there are tons of great blues musicians who never even had one hit.
... and i think its more like 500 children

He was a one hit wonder, and a one trick pony... i.e. the coffin bit. Jennifer Lopez has lots of hits; would you consider her great because of that?
Hawkins made an entire career, out of one song and a coffin. Hawkins did with a coffin, what acts today do with a video.
57, 300, 500 it's a whole lot of children, no matter how many the total number.

this is his pops
he's the Charles Foster Kane of modern times, he smuggles antique from the Vatican into the country, acquires tons of the most expensive whiskey bottles from all over the place and oh yeah he also has a tiny records collection
and I believe he invented the wheel or something similar sometime ago

I don't know anything about his smuggling antiques from the Vatican or about inventing the wheel, but I think he might have had something to do with fire.
