3D From massive attack arrested
3D has been arrested by cops in Bristol, in connection with charges of internet porn.
Is this going to be another case of Mathew Kelly (let off) or Gary Glitter (evil scumbag)?
I hope it's the first. I dont like the idea of someone I like and respect on an artistic level, being a sicko.
Also as a side night. If a 'star' is arrested for a sick crime, doe's this affect his/her genius? Or is the talent ignored and tastes have to be changed to follow the pattern of hating him as a person.

From The Sun:
MASSIVE Attack star 3D has been arrested by cops as part of the huge crackdown against child porn on the internet.
The millionaire musician — real name Robert Del Naja — was held in his home city Bristol after a tip-off to police.
Detectives seized computer equipment in the raid and a quantity of suspected drugs, believed to be ecstasy.
Del Naja is a founding member of Massive Attack — dance music pioneers best known for their hit single Unfinished Sympathy and the critically acclaimed album Blue Lines.
The 36-year-old star was quizzed for six hours and released on bail. But last night he told The Sun: “I have never looked at child pornography in my life.
“I am fully co-operating with the police and I would ask everyone not to judge me prematurely. I have total faith in the justice system.”
Police confirmed: “A man in his 30s from Bristol was arrested in connection with allegations of possessing class A drugs and internet pornography offences.”
Tuesday’s arrest came under Avon and Somerset Police’s Operation Ricochet — part of Operation Ore, the national crackdown on child porn.
The FBI has passed 7,272 names to Scotland Yard of people suspected of using credit cards to access US child porn sites.
More than 1,600 arrests have been made, including 50 cops, a High Court judge, lawyers, magistrates, doctors, teachers and clergymen.

I am certain this matter will get cleaned up quicker than it happened. Its just another example of US mistakes (and they seem to be picking on Bristolians-most wanted bristol pensioner). 3D is so well respected and known for being a tatally safe guy. I just hope that like me, nobody believes a word of it.

Very true. But public relations can do wonders, and hopefully will in this case. I've only seen the report as the 4th story on regional news, so it surely cant be that wide-spread yet??? With the new album focus can easily be drawn away when the matter is sorted.

i don't know... looking at porn is one thing... looking at naked 12 year olds just doesn't seem right to me...
something i've been curious about since pee wee herman got busted again last fall and pete townsend's subsequent arrest is how the police actually set up their kiddie porn stings?
and if the people are actually guilty then it's from their own stupidity... there's NO WAY i'd ever give my credit card number to a porn site... especially not if i know that it's for content that's frowned upon by our society...
something else they fail to mention is the age of the content... what happens in a case where the models are legal in one country but not the other... say a legal 18 year old canadian being viewed in the states where the legal age is 21... is that still considered child porn?
and in 3Ds case i think he'll probably be able to get out of the porn charges if he admits to the drug charges...

from what I gather from another forum, they have a witchhunt in britain. so 3-D may just be another victim of the witchhunt. I don't know, I will wait until it plays out by itself.
