I have read some of the posts on this site, and well..

You all are pathetic.. I actually read a post defending the punk-ism of "Boxcar Racer". I am awestruck that this was used as the basis of a true punk band. I hate the cliche of "your not punk, I am" that type of statement is absolutely retarded. But oh my god, at least when you go to talk about true heart-filled punk rock bands name bands like Ramones, Sex Pistols, Minor Threat, The Clash, The Vandals.

Listen to whatever you want, I am not saying you "aren't punk" if you listen to pop-punk bands not at all, but come on, just give credit where credit is due.

I thought taking on this forum would be a chance to discuss a lot of great new music thats coming out, but Id now rather smash my head against the wall and go listen to a Pedro the Lion record. later

Look, either contribute or don't, just don't clutter up the boards with useless bitching, especially in the punk section, which has at least 10 threads already on the subject of how non-punk it is. If you don't think the board has enough of certain threads or discussions, start them, it's really that simple. Later.

Um.. I am constantly amused when people bring up the sex pistols to attack the current manufactured state of punk - know your history before you try to look all hardcore punk dude. They were a manufactured group.

And does it really matter whether Boxcar racer fits into a particular genre? The important question is whether there's any musical merit there.
