Of those 5, Franz Ferdinand gets kudos for their absolute lack of shame, but I went with the Killers. They have more songs that I can listen to then the other bands. I don't mind hearing that album so much. I don't like Arcade Fire, Bravery or Bloc Party at all, but I am sure that doesn't surprise anyone here
All I can say is that hopefully this 80's new wave resurgence means that thrash metal is also making a comeback. Then I can reform my band Tormentor and have a 20-year reunion in 2006

I've only heard enough to fairly judge Franz and The Killers, and I don't really care much for either. I'm opting out of this vote.

for overall awesomeness, it goes to Arcade Fire, because I feel that they are the only option that deserve the hype that they have gotten. Otherwise, Bloc Party is quit good indeed.

when seeing the title of this thread, I thought you'd gotten mad, Chris, as I thought it would be about the real NKOTB...
I don't really like any of the above either... maybe Franz Ferdinand then, dunno, will have to think about it

I would've voted Franz Ferdinand. I've definitely heard more hype about them than any of the other groups. Still, if I was given those albums for free I still wouldn't listen to them.

ivoted The Arcade Fire. while idont hink theyre necessarily deserving of the extreme hype theyve been getting in the past year, Funeral is a great album and they are the only band in the poll that ican honestly say that about. if iwere to rank all five:
1. The Arcade Fire- for reasons stated above
2. The Bravery- becos "An Honest Mistake" is likely the best single of any of the five and the album is good fun and theyre great looking.
3. Franz Ferdinand- becos its a good album, but its gotten worse with time [something idont see The Bravery doing] and they think they look good but they dont.
4. Bloc Party- becos despite their lofty ambitions theyve fallen well short and theres only 2-4 tracks on that album worth holding onto.
5. The Killers- becos The Killers fookin suck and Brandon Flowers wants to be Morrissey so badly but he'll never be anything close, he'll only be a pathetic imitation.
