Recommendations

I'm looking for more like Biosphere's When I leave and Kobresia. It's the nostalgic orchestra samples and mood that I really enjoy about them.

Suggestions?

BTW - If anyone recommends Autechre one more time I will pull my hair out!

* Johann Johannson's "Englaborn" album on Touch UK

* Hilmar Orn Hilmarrsson's 'Children of Nature' (just re-released on Touch UK) and his collab with Sigur Ros called 'Angels of Light"

* Stars of the Lid "Avec Laudenum"

* Max Richter "The Blue Notebooks"

I really like the beats in Funkstorungs mixes of Jay Jay Johnson "I Want Some Fun' and A Guy Called Gerald "Humanity". The songs are decent, but I've never been a huge fan of vocals in electronic. Sometimes, but not so much in those. Anyway, I like the beats and drum programing through that whole album. This means I should look up _______?

Thanks.

I already know most of their work, all I have left to hear is LP5 + EP7, and one or two obscurities. I've enjoyed all of it, but something a bit less abstract would be cool.

Also, I love just about everything off Merck that I've heard so far, is there something out there on their label or another with their sound, only a bit less tin sounding?

If you like M3rck's stuff I'd definitely check out the n5md label. Lots of cool releases there, Proem, Vesna, Keef...

Helios - Unomia
Tiki Obmar - Seasons
Deru - Trying to Remember
Proem - Socially Inept
Landau - Picompromise
--------------------------->these are a bit warmer than most of the stuff that you might be tuned to.

as well, Adam Johnson's Chigliak has its moments of beautiful warmth. check out the track Shade for instance. maybe you'd like it if you were a Lusine fan.

hope that helps you out.

Helios and Socially Inept, check and check. Picked up Unomia on my voyage to Canada, got Socially Inept off Soulseek. Both great. And Lusine is rad, or at least Serial Hodgepodge was, I haven't heard the rest.

Proem seem to slide into a more melancholia-flavor from time to time, Among Others and Socially Inept for example, loved 'em.
