Know where I can find good samples of these? I found a couple on Touch's site, but not nearly enough to make any judgements... thanks!

not exactly. You could try the Kranky label to find stuff on Stars of the Lid and I'd also check out 'The Dead Texan' on that label as well (same type of stuff/group). Most of the stuff you find will just be 30 second snippits, which sucks.

Does all of Englaborn have those creepy Macintosh voice-overs? I've always thought using the Mac's speaking voices gave an incredibly cheesy quality to music.

nah, not all of the songs. Most of it has the same neo-classical type feel though.

Max Richter "The Blue Notebooks" - WOW.

This is some incredible stuff. Thank you!!!

It doesn't exactly fit into a genre, but it's exactly what I was looking for. Are all of his releases this good???

Well, he's only come out with 2 proper releases. This one and something called 'Memoryhouse'. I just sold my copy of Memoryhouse on ebay for around 20 dollars. It's not that easy of an album to find, but if you do, you'll be paying more than retail for a used copy. It mostly showcases reworkings of older contemporary songs. It's different than 'the blue notebooks', but is still very good.

He also has a collab with Terry Riley and Steve Reich on a 'piano circus' album. I think the concept was to have 6 pianos playing simultaneously. I can't remember if that's right though.
