Thumbs up Annie Lennox

Anyone else out there a fan? I think she's really great, one of the best artists of the last 25 years. Such a wonderful voice, so emotive and distinctive. Which do people prefer - solo work or Eurythmics? I definately prefer her solo work - 'Diva' is one of the best albums I own. Apparantly she's going to release a new solo album this year. I can't wait! The songs '(there must be an angel) playing with my heart','No more I love yous' & 'Why' are some of the best I've ever heard.

MEee, that's me whom you're looking for.
i adore Annie Lennox,
i hate Dave Stewert, i heard and read many things when i was still a child about how horribly he was treating her in Eurythmics.
i agree on that she'd be one of the best artists of the last 25 years. she's the diva herself.
when i was just 14, i guess, i bought Medusa right after its release, and i adored the whole stuff.
"no more i love you's" with its excellent video,
and an awesome cover of "a whiter shade of pale"
so wistful are they.
and the wonderful 'why' from Diva is one of the most smashing power ballads of all time.
i gotto admit i really love Eurythmics stuff, too.
a week ago i downloaded "here comes the rain again" and "there must be angel" respectively.
there must be a magical touch of Annie /playing with my heart

the accent of icelandic words falls in almost all cases on the first syllable. the exceptions are

1.words that have the negative prefix "ó-" meaning "un-" as in "unwilling" eg óhreinindi
2.words that have the prefix "all-" meaning "rather" or "very" eg allfeginn

in these two cases, the accent falls equally on the first two syllables or mainly on the second syllable.

Yeah, I must say, Dave stewert is horrible. I mean, he can't sing, he has horrible looks, grrrr...
But Annie is the best! She has special looks, ans she sings like an angel... I love her!

shes fearless, image-wise, confident and with class. And of course, there's that incredible voice of hers.

I really liked Eurythmics a lot, and Annie's voice was a lot of the appeal, of course. I like the solo stuff of Annie's that I've heard. I thought "Walking On Broken Glass" was a great record.

I think she was great in the Eurythmics. I'm not as big on her solo records.

yeah, I don't like the new record. It's a bit too soft for me, she can do so much more with her voice, I was dissapointed.
