What was your First Concert?

I am sorry if this has been done already, but I searched for any older thread and gave up after going through 300 thread titles.

What was your first concert, how old were you and did it live up to your expectations?

My twin sister and I first concert was the Converge & Hatebreed. It was a few weeks after we turned 14, in March of 2002.

Our oldest brother and sister were with us, and so were several friends. It was also the first concert for our friends. We got to meet the bands afterwards.

Yes, a certain someone was with us, but not with us.

I think the first concert I went to was the Moody Blues w/ my parents when I was 11 or something like that. I will say that it was not of my own choosing (( but then, I had shit taste at 11 anyway. ))

It wasn't terribly memorable.

How about, your first concert of your choosing?

my first real concert was U2 at SkyDome in Toronto for the PopMart Tour in 1997. iwas 15 and went with my best friend.

opener was Third Eye Blind- they sucked unbelievably and it was good for a laugh.

then U2 came out and changed my life- an amazing show still ranking amongst the greatest ive ever seen. the band, the stage, the crowd, the electricity in that massive building was juste incredible. i'll never forget it.

Cool!

I haven't seen them yet. I will be seeing them, in Boston and NY in May. We have heard from someone who has heard a few concerts in his day, that U2's Zoo TV tour was one of the best he has seen.

My first concert actually was the Zoo TV tour by U2 during Fall 1992 (I think). It was decent. I wasn't a huge fan of U2 then (or now) but it was definitely interesting. There was so much going on with all the TV screens that it was hard to keep track of any one thing.

Other than Glass Tiger when I was 3; and Sharon, Lois and Braham... it would have been White Zombie when I was 14

First concert of my choosing way back in the early seventies was Aerosmith with Rick Derringer as the opening act. Great concert.
