Sea Change v. OK Computer
Alright dudes, two great albums, versatile, great musicians to come out in the last decade. Listening to these tunes man, to me its dualism. Both are melancholy and dark for sure. The Radiohead being pure, mechanical, almost cold in a sense while that Beck album, dudes, heart wrenching emotion and feeling. Better album?

While I'm hardly a fan of Radiohead, I'd be a complete idiot to dismiss OK Computer as one of the best releases of the past two decades. Besides which, Sea Change isn't even Beck's greatest album, so to put this against OK Computer is just suicide.
If it was Odelay, I may have thought about it longer, but in this case, it's a no-brainer: OK Computer wins.

I haven't heard Sea Change completely, but I think I prefer Radiohead over Beck anyway... He's got good material as well, but so diverse that not everything is as consistent... though I don't know if any of his albums is as mediocre as Pablo Honey

Just so you don't mistake this for my one moment of Radiohead worship, I'll point out for history's sake that I said "one of" -- I don't consider it to be the single greatest recording of the past two decades, but among them.

I disagree there with you dude, but its cool man. Odelay is a righteous album for sure, it just doesn't compare well with OK Computer. The emotion in both Sea Change and OK Computer is what moves me. While 'Karma Police', 'Paranoid Android', 'Lucky' are great tunes, they don't take me to that next level. And maybe dudes, its meant to be that way considering the routine, cold, computer subject. While its a cool album, its not perfect to me. The Beck album just hits you, you hear it a couple times, and its layers and depths of sadness and in the end, light. Its a perfect album.

i can't believe only walrus is talking up the epic greatness of 'sea change'. i consider myself a fan of most of what radiohead does, kid a being my favorite album. ok computer is a good album, but it doesn't stand a chance in this comparison. it's interesting because when songs are this good, its more of a personal opinion. radiohead is a decent band to come out this past decade or so but in this one, they just seem like they're trying too hard. beck just lays it out, and its genuine. and as for beck v. radiohead in general, same goes, beck hansen is just the coolest artist in modern music.

no competition, even at his best beck could not compare to radiohead, and sea change isn't even his best album.
