Portastatic - Bright Ideas

I don't know if it fits into obscure, gem or alternative.

Great. So despite being completely off topic you still post something. That's spamming!

and what the fuck is this asshat? at least he tried all you are is wasted space.

some of my favorite and lesser known alt-rock-ish tunes.

uilab - st. elmo's fire (snow). the final track in a one shot EP collaboration between stereolab and Ui, i think it's remixed by snowpony or features some of its members on this version.

add n to (x) - white scrapie. if i remember correctly jon spencer (blues explosion) does a guest appearance on this track, more of a spoken word deal than vocals.

esthero w. blue man group - white rabbit. a cover of the jefferson airplane classic and just as good as the original to my ears.

another great cover that fits this criteria...

cat power - wonderwall. yes the oasis song, but it's phenomenal, best version i've ever heard.

well the original is really boring, so it's not that surprising and yes it's a nice version, but she has done much better songs, I think...
