From the straightfoward "acid jazzy" sort of standpoint, you can come across some similar ones...before I heard Tobin I was listening to the first Xploding Plastix album, Amateur Girlfriends Go Proskirt Agents. It isn't fair to either artist to say they are similar, but there is a similar vibe between this album and the Tobin stuff, and many of the songs take a similar approach to what Tobin does, notably on something like Permutation.

Oh, ok. Well, I must say I haven't heard something similar to Amon Tobin either. But the noisiest parts on 'Supermodified' reminds me of Boredoms 'Vision Creation Newsun' for some reason. Vision Creation Newsun is madness and euphoria at the same time. (Boredoms doesn't really belong here in the electronic forum though, it's classified as Rock)
I'll definitely check out Amateur Girlfriends Go Proskirt Agents.
