Squarepusher Do you know Squarepusher
I like the live disc and two or so tracks from the album, but some of those tracks are a little iffy... what do you guys think of this one?

well, it's his most experimental album in my opinion. He's going straight musique concrete on a few of the tracks and I love it. I honestly think that the whole album is a satire in a way. You have your hip hop, your spastic IDM, your cover song and your musique concrete.

I didn't know musique concrete existed, let alone that Tom did this, until you mentioned it.
This is what you're talking about right? http://csunix1.lvc.edu/~snyder/em/mc.html
I wouldn't be surprised if the satire thing was close to the truth. I've noticed there's often something humourous in his work. There's "Smedly's Melody" on Feed Me Weird Things and I think there's a track on Hard Normal Daddy where he burps in the middle of it.

Gridlock - Trace (reminds me of comparing Displacer's Moon Phase album with Arroyo)
