If you were to try their earlier albums like Incunabula or Amber, or maybe even Tri Repetae, and worked yourself up to it, you may feel differently.

Did you happen to listen to samples anywhere before your purchase? Confield is good to many. It's not a great release in my point of view, but it's immaculate to some.
I didn't listen to samples of Confield before purchase. I checked the ones you suggested.
Tri Repetae++: I like dael and rsdio on disc 1. Disc 2 is much better. There's only one song i don't like, Vietrmx21.
Incunabula: This is ok. The best songs are Bike, Basscadet, Maetl, Lowride, 444.
Amber: My faves are Foil, Montreal, Slip, Further, Nil, Teartear.
Autechre is expanding my mind.

I prefer Amber more.
Cipater, cichli and pule are good.

You've got to be kidding! That's the only autechre piece to become somewhat of an ambient drone. IT'S FUCKING AMAZING!!!!!

anyway, that's just my opinion.

He he you are the first person that aren't overwhelmed and fascinated by this atmospheric beauty.

i finally listened to bola's soup and find it a really good album very dynamic and powerful.

fyuti is a bad album from a good artist, that is the only way i can put it.
