lol.. yeah they do.. I tend to stay away from that for the most part. Most hip hop heads I know don't divide the genre too much besides some who divide mainstream from underground. But even that's too much for me cause there's no real clear line. I just know whats hip hop and what's not.

Yep. Madvillain is on Madlib's label Stone's Throw which is an independent label. Mf Doom on his own.. I know his last album was released on Rhymesayers but I think he has an indie label of his own too.. can't remember the name.

madlib, along with his quasimoto alterego is definitely indie, along with yesterday's new quintet..because hes off of stone throw records, peanutbutter wolf's label.
