I'm also incredibly new here, so I'm not really sure about the answer, but if you're looking to buy music you should check out ebay. You can find really obscure stuff there for cheap if you check often enough.
That CD swapping didn't seem to be working, nobody has half an interest to get off their lazy bums and actually message each other for CD listings. It's a dangerous world!
