--Jay-z--

In my opinion, Jay-Z is one of the best artists in the genre, if not the best. But either way he's great. I have alotta legitment reasons to think so. But I already know why I like him...
What's the opinionated group here say to this?

Jay-Z

Jay-Z is one of my favorite rappers.

Lots of people dislike him because of the poppier stance he's takin in the last couple years with his Black Album, and the remix he did with Linkin Park.

However, many people overlook his previous albums (more importantly his older ones).
Jay-Z is the real deal, came from nothing, to worldwide hiphop icon. He rapped with the best of them (lookup his recordings with Biggie... good stuff).

I classify him in my own genre of "Classy Rap"
He's got lots of piano, violins, classical backbeats to accompany his songs.
Not to mention, hes one of the few nowadays whose lyrics don't consist mainly of bitches and drugs.

If you guys want a good taste of Jay-Z, my favorite album is: Reasonable Doubt

jay-z is one of my favourites as well. i cant stand much of mainstream hip hop but give jay a chance by listening to his albums fully and you'll see that he gets very personal and talks some sense. there's the bling bling music. that has its place but thats not all there is to jay. a very talented MC in my opinion. reasonable doubt and the blueprint are my favorite hova offerings.

Yeah, Jay is awsome man! in my opinion there are only 3 rappers that are better than him: Tupac, Biggie (yeah i know he recorded with him, its pretty tight s***), and Dre. thats my opinion.

Much love to JAY-Z!!!

There is one thing I dont like about Jay, thats his beef with Game and 50, which he started for no reason, that was the lamest s*** ever, he started that and he knew Game was raggin on Ja Rule, he just wanted a little publicity. I think it was one of the stupidest things he could have done, because whether anyone in g-unit can rap or not, they are extremely popular right now, and Jay pissed the realest member off (Game). I hate how hes siding with Murdur Inc. against 50 cent also, i really dont think thats good for his career. I know that 50 cent has nowhere near the talent of many rappers, but i still like his music a lot. anyway, wut do you all think about my veiws on this s***??

- Lil Makaveli (in rememberance of big Pac)
