From reading this thread, you would think all my 4 older kids did, was go to concerts 24/7.

I don't think, they noticed that the Victoriaville Festival is from May 19-23rd and Jandek, Haino Keiji, etc... are on May 20-23rd. Also, the last I looked Victoriaville, the UK and Scotland are not exactly a short hop, skip and jump from each other.

When you add in, that the twins Senior Prom (Yes, this makes me suddenly feel very Ancient. ) is supposed to be sometime around that time, it gets interesting. Something is going to have to give, and I get the feeling it's supposed to be Satchmo.

Autechre played near me last night, but I didn't go. My parents wouldn't let me go because of Webster Hall's reputation (and they have been there themselves). Also, a friend of mine went to Webster Hall last year to see Sonic Youth and did not have a good time. He said that in addition to the people who attended, the clouds of smoke, and the crowding, that the sound was horrible and would often get lost. At first I was upset abotu not beign able to go, but after hearing my friend's experience with Webster Hall it was not so bad.

I am, however, still going to see Brotzmann (at the Tonic on the 18th) and Jarboe/Amber Asylum/Unto Ashes/Bellmer Dolls (on the 23rd).
