Well to those of us who make it to about 1 show every 5 years, it's not much of an issue. I can't be of much help describing the concert experience, as I've never seen them, so all I can say is...it's Bauhaus...just go.

As for going in disguise, I doubt you'd need to. I'm sure if you just wear a lot of black you'll be fine.

Bauhaus to me isn't the same thing as they are to you. So the line "it's Bauhaus just go", isn't exactly a tempting one.

To the wearing a lot of Black. See, Satchmo don't dig conforming. I would probably have to show up dressed all in white.

You're not a fan? I'm not really into Goth at all but I can definitely dig the cofounders. Of course, they're not without heavy influences, but In the Flat Field and Mask are deserved classics. Lots of tight drumming, angular guitars, dissonant synth work and Peter Murphy's Hammill gone Bowie vocal work make for something I really do enjoy.

Of course, I'm just the Grasshoppa, so what do I know.

Granted, they may have inspired a lot of bad fashion, but the music's great.

Did anyone actually go see Ornette on the 26th? Is Satchmo going to have to put all the local Grasshoppa's on double secret probation?

You didn't mention the Yoshida Tatsuya Festival going on in December as well!!!!!!!!

I doubt I will be able to attend any of "Ruins" performances, but Yoshida's performances on the 18 may be the only possible point at which I will be able to finally see the man perform. Money or no money, I think I can manage 10 bucks and gas. It's only a 4 hour drive, so hopefully, this will happen.

Really, I'd love to see the Yoshida/Otomo duo performance most of all, but I'll be down south by then.

Well I figured, you would come up with some excuse about having to save some rodent, chicken, cow, rabbit, pig, turkey, etc...., etc...., yada, yada; that was stuck in a tree, or down in a drain or under some chemical weapon. I mean you and your gal would be off Ninja style, and wouldn't be able to make it. So....why torture you.


Ok, your gal would probably be doing the actual saving and beatings needed, you would handle the important job of having the water bottle ready, when she came back.
