yeah, his album with Nosei Sakata (aka *0) on the 12k label is nice, not to mention the latest album 'Chessmachine' with Ivan Pavlow (aka CoH)

I actually have a real copy of his Nippon (Japan) release only DVD. I think I expected it to be more than a continual image with the background music. I'm actually thinking about selling it, but I don't know yet. Methinks I should hold on to it for awhile...

a great label with such music ( limited editions of 100 ) is Mystery Sea
Releases so far include Wilt, mnortham, Pholde, Cordell Klier, Whitebass, Caesar Ursic... really great stuff

Does anyone know a bit about where to begin with Asmus Tietchens' discography ? The re-release on Die Stadt look promising, but are there stinkers in the lot ?

well, his discography is quite extensive, but I'd definitely recommend the Kontakt der Junglinge concert cd's he did with Thomas Koner. Some others I like are:

Linea
Daseinsverfehlung

...and also the collaboration with Vidna Obmana called "motives for recycling"...it's a very haunting work.

As usual, I know of no-one in your lists!

Thanks to you Josh, I will never forget just how few artists I actually appreciate, no matter how large my collection grows...
