Music discrimination??

Hey, I’ve got one question.

Once a friend of mine told me that hip-hop music is the prerogative of blacks. His opinion was that the blacks do rap and hip-hop better than the whites. I’ve come thoughtful about it. I wonder whether there is a music discrimination of this kind or everything depends upon talent. What’s your opinion?

Need your feedback!

It's the whole cultural thing. It's possible for a white guy to do a good rap, but odds are against him or her. It kind of does depend on talent, but it also depends on what you have in your background. If some rich white kid comes out making rap records would anyone take him seriouse? Likewise, how many black people are making metal music? It's a cultural thing. Generally different races have liked different music, and after a while the line starts fo fuzz together, but then it separates into something else So to answer your question, it's a little bit of talent and who you are. Kind of sad, but it's true. Just keep an open mind about the music and don't care if the person is white or black or anything in the middle. The mind set of your friend is a bad one and only keeps the divide between the races more present.

You know, my mate's argument was that the blacks have innate rythm feeling and that they have rich and bright voice timbre. He meant the majority of them in comparison with the whites. However, it's interesting for me to know whether there is a so-called "discrimination" speaking about other music genres and styles.

So what?

hip hop is being taken over by white people, just like rock n roll in the 40s-50s, so dont worry. in 20 years you'll be able to be a real gangsta.
