I though they were quite lame, especially motley crue. They did not kick my ass that is for sure. I labeled them as possers, pussies and corporate cock rock whores. I can remember an old tale of an exodus concert around the time of bonded by blood. Paul Baloff the lead singers said (as a joke) I want to see the head of a posser, a group of fans left the concert found a dude with a motley cure shirt on and beat him up. The dudes severed head was found in the gutter outside of the venue a few hours later, this is probably an urban myth and it might not have even been exodus but that was the attitude that true kick ass bands had towards motley cure and co. |
Yea, GnR had more credibilty than the other hair-bands because other than 'Crüe they had an awesome drummer and other than Ratt they had 2 truly great guitarists, not to mention those lame dudes from Winger, Dokken, Extreme or White Lion. Yea, GnR really were ahead of the pack.
And wow! Listen to them thrash-tough-guys Exodus talk! Damn! Those must be the toughest kids on the block! Question: Were/STILL are Exodus as 'tough' as Metallica (tough & tallented, oh yea!) on their "Clip 'em all" video? Scary bunch of MFs! Make me wanna run & hide!
