"The Lake"? Nope, I don't think that I have. Is it a new release, or was it part of Lou Reed's "The Raven" album?

Or neither?

Oh, I love them. Antony has such a magnificent singing voice.

In the end, what we have are these little, great moments. They come and they go. That's as good as it gets. But, still, isn't that great?

Antony & The Johnsons are a great collective. I saw then in July and the event, prior to his winning of he Mercury Music Award, was packed. He worked his way through the new material, older stuff, and a good assortment of covers notably Current 93, Leonard Cohen, and Edgar Allen Poe. There was also an a capella piece where he sang to the sound of the audience humming.

I wonder if the show of his that I'm going to see will be very different than the one I saw, when he opened for CocoRosie. CocoRosie's show this september certainly was different, like a lot...

When I saw him there were five Johnsons on the stage: accordion, violin, cello, guitar, and bass guitar. I'm hoping there are either more or less this time round.

I finally got my hands on their debut and liked it a lot. My favourite songs would probably be Cripple and the Starfish and Hitler In My Heart. Heartbreaking stuff.
