I really like this guy's song Cannon in D, and I have nothing to do, so I figure why not make a thread about him. Anyway, I can't find any other songs of his besides Fantasia something and Cannon in D, does he even HAVE any other songs? And if so are they any good, or is he sorta the one hit wonder of classical?

Yes he does have a lot of other songs, but they are not as popular and as played as Cannon in D. I am not much of a fun, because he depends a lot on a varitation of one theme through most of his pieces, and that isn't bad, but it's in ostanato.

I see.. what exactly does the second half of your post mean? I'm not a classical listener so I don't understand how a classical song could have a theme. And I have no idea what ostanato means. If you don't mind, enlighten a brother.

Sure thing. A theme is basically the melodly everyone knows. It's easily recognizable. Pretty much the catch of the song. Or the musical bases for the composition. Ostinato is the same notes being played over and over through out the piece or a portion of the piece. For example, playing A B C A B C A B C for the whole song is ostinato.

Oh I see, so in other words his music is repetitive?
