Recording sysex (patches) in Cubasis A/V
I've been trying to get Yamaha DX7 patches that I downloaded from the internet into my Yamaha DX200. I know that the DX200 editor can not open sysex files but I've been told to first open the sysex files in a soft sequencer and then bulk send them into DX200 but I'm having difficulty doing this - One of the options in Cubasis A/V (my sequencing program) is "Record SYSEX". I tried selecting that and then selecting a DX7 SYSEX bank from my computer's C drive and then pressing the record button on Cubasis A/V but I got an error saying that maybe my soundcard couldn't record and play at the same time (???) - I have a Soundblaster 128. Any thoughts on this? I've read the help file that was included with Cubasis A/V but there isn't specific information on recording sysex.
Thanks,
Dan
