A Song About Loss
I improvised these over a cheap little chord pattern I was playing and just happened to be recording, so I wrote them down because I liked them.
I was lost
In the woods
I got tossed
Far away
I was lost
All day long
I know I shouldn't have cared
But I saw this song
And it wasn't
A game
I lost
I was gone
A long time
I was another
And I wasn't right
It's so hard
I wanted to know
How I came to be
And when I had to go
And I said
What a way
To know
I said
What a way
That we go
I was lost
In the forest
I was lost
In the woods
I said man
Oh baby
Don't you leave me
I would run
But it
Would do me no good
So how
I'm wondering
What you came from
So now
I'm wondering
Where you'll go
I was broken
I needed some help
I was tossed
Through a window
I was bent in half
I couldn't see backwards
I knew the pain you felt
Could float away
Could float away
And I didn't want to be the one you carried away
I didn't wanna be the one you carried away

Well, I sing it really cracked, like I make it sound like I'm forcing falsetto, it's sort of a disgusting/depressing sound if you hear it. I played stupid little chords over it. Just D and Am. I forget what I played for the "chorus."
The lyrics were all improvised while playing, so they can't possibly be that good anyway!
Thank you.
