"Aaltopiiri" Pan sonic
"Oops, I Did It Again!" Cex
"Sketches" Nautilis

"Monochrome Plural" Fizzarum
"Mu Allstars 2000 + 2002" Various Artists

aaltopiiri is one of my faves from Pan Sonic.

Swarm and Dither is beautifully arranged, and the Fizzarum album should be listened to at least once by everyone!

Those mu allstars 12" are pretty good, aren't they? I know Mike was offering the Amunition sampler pretty cheaply. Roughly 8 dollars everywhere...

i have pan sonic's "kulma" and i'm really enjoying it...but i hear so many great things about aaltopiiri, so i had to get it.

and yes, the mu allstars stuff is a lot of fun. a great remix of cylob's "rewind" is on there..i can't get enough of that track. i'm dying to get ahold of kid606's remix of "get yr freak on"...i had some mp3's way back in the day, but lost them in a devistating hard disk crash.

i think i paid a few more bux than 8 for amunition; impulse buy.

yeah, it amunition has a lot of good stuff on there...

...and if you didn't know, the Rude Ass Tinker mix is actually from Mu-ziq himself (mike)...it's a mix up of one of his other monikers Tuskan Raiders

...and i basically have all the Pan Sonic stuff that has been out in quantity. I'm a big fan of Ilpo's and Mika's.

Stagl, i'd just like to say that your site is darn cool. anyhow, i must say that i need to get into those Pole albums as well as the Solvent releases. Im a deFOCUS fan and im sure the Solvent material is very much like the CiM and Lackluster material.

no, you cannot compare Solvent to them two because they are on the same label. Solvent has always been very boring to me for some reason, same goes for his counterpart Lowfish.

thanks autpt!

solvent is pretty simple stuff. pretty much electro pop. something about solvent just makes me feel good...like a reminder of my childhood video game memories or something. "Solvently One Listens" is my favorite, but alas, this was lost in my hard disk crash as well. :-/

i like lowfish but don't listen to it frequently anymore; was on my heavy rotation at one point. ELIMINATOR has a coulple of really beautiful songs.

a by pan sonic is great and way darker that aalto piiri.

yidin by Vainio is my fav album among p'sonic and vainio and ilpo's.

Stewart Home interviewed by Max Mumskill in Bizarre magazine, September 1999:

Q. "You've just had a baby boy. What will it be like growing up in the Home household?"

"I'm playing him a lot of Pan Sonic. An American guy called Dr Al Ackerman has been doing a lot of research into music and how it effects a child's development. The traditional view is that Mozart increases a baby's intelligence but, from what I understand of Dr Ackerman's research, although it may take them forward a bit it makes them conformist. Minimal techno like Pan Sonic and Nocturnal Emissions would appear to make children non-conformist."
