Post Nick Drake

Nick Drake was never famous in his own lifetime, granted, but shedloads of indie bands and artists claim to be indpired by him.

The irony of it is that only very recently interest in his work has took off. I think it was because of a US car advert (I'm English so I don't know).

I was wondering if anyone else likes this guy, or whether anyone accross the pond has even heard of him. Opinions please. Also if you know any bands influenced by him please post 'em.

So far I've got a couple:

Kings of Convenience
Belle & Sebastian
Nick Coxon (used to be the guitarist from Blur)
Neil Halstead
Ed Harcourt, Tom McRae, Jeff Buckley etc. (I think)

PS i wasn't really sure which thread to put this in, but it's sort of alternative.

Jeff Buckley, yeah!

I only heard of Nick Drake through my friend..don't know much about him at all, actually.

Err..yeah, so that's my input.

Everyone loves Jeff Buckley. Try to listen to Tim, his dad.

Ok, do you have any recommendations for his father?

Isn't it weird how his dad died before even reaching the age that Jeff Buckley died? Must be in the genes.
