I agree, I would go for an "older woman" like Kate Bush (hate that phrase) any day rather than a teenager (even though Im one myself). I like a woman woman with experience.

I would go for Anne Heche, Liz Frazer, Sinead O'Connor, Billie Haliday from Curve, Gen from Gentortureres. that's all I can think of for now.
