Historic Jazz Auction

Just got an email about this auction.

http://www.guernseys.com/Auctions/Jazz/Featured.html

If I played the sax, I would get the Coltrane and Bird saxes. They don't say what recordings or how long they were used.

I have no idea yet, what Satchmo related material is going up for auction. I am waiting to get a catalogue. If it's one of his cornets or trumpets, especially that he used with King Oliver Creole Jazz Band or to record West End Blues..... All bets are off

YO!

But I really can't see anyone insane enough, to sell those.

The item up for auction

The best version of the picture that I meant, which I have found so far.

Once something is in the Satchmo memory banks, it stays there. The only issue is retrieving it out of the memory banks, which I admit is slowing down slightly.

But only slightly!!

Wow! Now that's an auction!!! I'd love to own a Monk suit.... Bird's sax would be nice too... Check the little details on that instrument! What a piece of art!!

Have any idea what Armstrong items they sell?
