First the stop Ashlee Simpson petition... Now this, but this is pretty sweet!
Not sure if this has been posted yet or not...
This place http://www.hopeinamerica.com/wst_page2.html is willing to exchange your horrible Ashlee Simpson CD for a good CD!! Not a bad idea!

H.O.P.E. (Horrified Observers of Pedestrian Entertainment) is offering the good people of America who have been duped into buying Ashlee Simpson's CD a reprieve; the opportunity to turn in her CD for one of a higher entertainment quality. Elvis Costello, The Ramones, X, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, Aretha Franklin, Mr. Bungle, Ray Charles, Abe Lincoln Story, Neil Hamburger, Joni Mitchell, and Brian Wilson. These are not endorsements of the CDs we are sending. If you receive a CD and it doesn't appeal to you, you are welcome to exchange it until you get one you like.
|
Maybe Ill find an Ashlee CD laying on the road that I can exchange for one of these!!!
Wish I had a little sister w/ an Ashlee CD I could steal from her!

This has been around since shortly after the SNL incident. I do get a kick out of Rolling Stone's stance on it though...they've been condoning crappy celebs for ages now especially with their covers. At one time it would have been a big thing to get on the cover but I certainly don't hold that waste of paper in high regard at all anymore.

mr. bungle is one of the best bands of the last 20 years by a long shot. but they aren't exactly the most accesible group either. it's mike patton's first band which he kept going while making money with faith no more. i guess the easiest way to explain mr. bungle is as a very chaotic faith no more but that's hardly correct

Yeah, RS sucks pretty hard nowadays. I used to go read it at the library, but I haven't done that in a long time, probably for about the past year and a half.

No...give them Pantera's Vulgar Display Of Power and watch them cry themselves to sleep when they blow up their hi-fi equipment...
